Community Health

Community Health is a public academic unit based in South Africa, established in 1932 and embedded within a leading health sciences faculty. As a university department focused on population health, it advances teaching, research, and policy engagement aimed at strengthening primary healthcare systems and promoting equitable access to services across Southern Africa.

Research centers on health systems strengthening, vaccine implementation, and maternal and child health, with strong emphasis on HPV vaccination and HIV prevention in Zambia and South Africa.
