Prof Peter Kamerman

Peter Kamerman is a South African pain researcher and academic affiliated with the University of the Witwatersrand. His work spans clinical and experimental pain science, with a strong emphasis on neuropathic pain and mechanisms of central sensitisation. He contributes to international guideline development through collaborations linked to the International Association for the Study of Pain and NeuPSIG.

Recent publications highlight leadership in large systematic reviews and meta-analyses evaluating pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions for neuropathic pain and experimentally induced secondary hypersensitivity.
