Aspro Pamela Michelow

Pamela Michelow is a South African cytopathologist affiliated with the University of the Witwatersrand and the National Health Laboratory Service. Recognised for leadership in cytology and digital pathology, she has contributed to international task forces of the American Society of Cytopathology and collaborates widely on advancing laboratory practice, education, and policy.

Her research centres on digital cytology, whole slide imaging, and artificial intelligence, including global surveys, best practice guidelines, and evaluation of synthetic images for training.
