Dr. Simon Marcus

Simon Marcus is a public health researcher whose work focuses on health equity, primary health care systems, and the social determinants of health in South Africa. His scholarship engages with the structural and infrastructural drivers of vulnerability in urban communities, contributing to policy-relevant debates within primary care and population health.

His research explores household infrastructural inequality, gender and age dynamics, and their intersection with COVID-19 vulnerability in low-income settlements.
