Supports screening and functional validation of genetic variants associated with congenital anomalies. Projects may combine computational analysis, animal models and laboratory systems to establish how variants influence developmental disorders.

Up to USD 499,999 in direct costs per year
Eligibility
Wits may apply as a non-US higher education institution. Proposals must fit this call and the mission of a participating institute; institutional registrations and funder requirements apply.
Additional deadlines
Next new-application deadline: 5 October 2026. Next renewal/resubmission/revision deadline, where permitted: 5 November 2026. Submit by 17:00 local time of the applicant organisation. Call expiration: 8 January 2028. This is separate from the application deadline.
