Supports small clinical trials addressing questions within the NICHD research mission. Proposals must include a clinical trial and fit the programme’s limited budget and project duration.

Up to USD 50,000 in direct costs per year
Eligibility
Wits may apply as a non-US higher education institution. Proposals must fit this call and the mission of a participating institute; institutional registrations and funder requirements apply.
Additional deadlines
Next new-application deadline: 16 October 2026. Next renewal/resubmission/revision deadline, where permitted: 16 November 2026. Submit by 17:00 local time of the applicant organisation. Call expiration: 8 January 2028. This is separate from the application deadline.
